I predict the stock market won't be thrilled by Google's results and that their share price will drop.

Does anyone has some fresh figures on Google's diversification of their sources of revenue and on the expected ad spending for 2009 ad 2010?

Assuming Google Apps is a success, how much can Google take from MS Office sales? And from other software companies (in market shares and in value)? What other sources of revenues do you foresee?

What are the Opensocial monetizing opportunities? More app developer buying Adwords in the social game? What are your mobile opportunities forecasts (micro-blogging with Jaiku, GrandCentral integration...)?

Do you think that Youtube is a dead video ad-vehicle (compared to Hulu)?

Will the Search-Ads-Apps remain Google's credo in the next few years?

Do you believe that Google plan to enter the energy market as a real business player? What would be the market potential?

Do you think Google has further plans in the health industry, beyond Google Health app (e.g personal genetics)?

In your opinion, where should Google move and focus, and what are their biggest threats? Who's the next Google?

Google doesn't need to diversify its revenue source. It sells advertising on top of content just like the media industry. As long as Internet growth continues, Google will be the prime location for advertising. Nobody even come close.

They may not need to, but I do believe they'll diversify, either to seize a great opportunity (energy is a very promising industry, due to all the upcoming changes), or to put some eggs in a new basket.

Take a look at the following NYT article: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/28/technology/internet/28google.html?_r=2&oref=slogin&ref=technology&pagewanted=print

I have some vague ideas of how they could generate cash here, with a mash-up of their "Flexible Communication Systems and Methods" patent, the Adwords system and alternative sources of energy...

I'm sure there're diverse POV to share in this forum. What can Google do in the energy industry, beyond PR , R&D and investment?
