I just spotted a Chrome ad on the Youtube search results page. Seems like google.com wasn't enough...
Here it is: http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/535/chromeadhw4.png

I just noticed this too and did a blog search (beacuse I thought this is something that started before) but only this page appeared, so it seems that this is realy new (that's good for Phillip, right? :)).
About what you said of google.com ad: I think it only lasted week or so, I didn't see it long time. I also checked now other Google products and there is nowhere this kind of ad for Chrome, so this is realy special ad only for YouTube. (and btw it is showing not just on public pages, but also on personal pages like my video, insight etc) |

A similar ad was used in orkut (the difference is that YouTube shows the ad even if you use the promoted browser). |
-1 Seems like Google doesn't really care about neutrality anymore.
BTW they used to advertise Firefox if you were on IE6, I can remember from work....Is it still the case? |
Here's another ad, on Youtube homepage: http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/373/adyoutubehl9.png

[Moved from "Chrome Download Link on YouTube" – Tony]
I was just searching on YouTube and at the bottom of the page I found a link to 'Try YouTube in a new browser' with a link to download Chrome.
I know they did this on the Google homepage, first time I've seen it on any of their other sites though.

It has already been spotted on the 1rst November: [now merged]
It's also massively promoted on LinkedIn: http://blogoscoped.com/forum/144859.html
