When I bring up Gmail, it shows me the previous mail add I had with the account..not Gmail. why is this?

I had the same problem, but it was automatically fixed after a few hours.
Have you been playing with your account, I mean like deactivating it then reactivate it?

how do i get it to be the default mailto link? i changed it in FF apps..it doesnt work.

If you mean how did the @live.com mail show up instead of the @gmail.com one, I don't know :s
