The last docs update includes a new style button on the toolbar (but also a "Ctrl+0" shortcuts, a feature I've asked for many times... I'm very glad they did it!).

But I've also noticed a "my folder" level in the tree that appears when you move/add a doc from one folder to another. This is probably a sign that shared folders are coming, which have been said to be in the work by Google Guides.
