What is the best notifier for getting Gmail to use in FF?

Mod firefox to do it without any extra sofware needed. http://www.lifehacker.com.au/tips/2008/05/21/set_firefox_3_to_launch_gmail_for_mailto_links.html Or use Mail.app, why don't you like that?
