I must confess two things. My name is an alias, and I have nothing to do with the following blog post, which I must admit is only a few hours old so my posting this already will appear dubious. I have subscribed to google's blog alerts for years for the term "Seraphim Proudleduck" though, so the fact I am one of the first to see this is to me not hard to believe.

Seraphim Proudleduck has been playing on the mind of one person more then the post I link to above would have you believe. I also regret Seraphim Proudleduck as much as Shaun does, I am NOT the mysterious American though. I also live in England and have nothing to do with the prize money never being issued.
I am not Shaun, however I do share his regrets.
Please accept his apology. I understand it to be an honest one. |
Thanks for the pointer. For some context, here's the post from 2005: http://blogoscoped.com/archive/2005_01_01_index.html
It was and will continue to be the last time I've ever participated in a search engine optimization context. |
So Shaun is trying to make amends by running another SEO competition, this time with no prize. The rules are that you must behave ethically, and link back to a charity.
How could I not take up a challenge like that?

I don't know what the link is Roger but I like your blog.
I thought about this and as not many entrants I thought I would give it a go also. I don't own a website so I've used

I will have to think about a charity, though I've never given it much thought.
