It is true. My aunt went to an interview with Google in Dublin once, the process was that there were 10 interviewers. You went to the first one for 10 minutes, if he passed you, you went on to the second. You had to be approved by each one in turn to be allowed to make the final cut, so if you failed at number 3, you didn't even get to see the rest of the interviewers...
