The favicon of the new Microsoft search engine Bing was discovered. Techchrunch reports to have seen the logo when visiting www.bing.com. I'm not seeing it in Firefox but it is possible to open the favicon file on www.bing.com/favicon.ico.

I wonder how much Microsoft paid to get that domain from this Australian company: http://www.bingmail.com.au/ |
It was a long time ago, Microsoft registrerd the domain in 1996.
Bing.net 1997 Bing.nl 2000 Bing.be 2004 Bing.eu 2006
Bing.info, bing.nu and bing.org are not from Microsoft.

whoops my information is not correct, i saw it wrong. sorry. |
> It was a long time ago, Microsoft registrerd the domain in 1996.
Really? I don't think Google's index or the company's material would be 13 years out of date. For example:
http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Abing.com http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Awww.bing.com
Are you sure you're not confused by the date the domain was *first* registered? Since it was last updated on 4th March 2009, perhaps it was transferred around then. |
Yes indeed, see the post above, my mistake. |
bing.fr / bing.be / bing.es / bing.ca are also microsoft owned
No information for bing.eu (europe).
I stop my search here, I think its the same for every other domain names. |

I didn't come up with ti, I read it somewhere else but I can't remember where. It could also mean Bing Is Not Google. |
Question: how come Live.com shows a great snippet for bing.com, when that text can't be found in the page's content?

Microsoft Custom Results? In the search results of Google a Bing advertisement was spotted also.
