The article about how to fix the "skipped contacts" problem gives a solution, but the solution only deletes OTHER PEOPLE from you FB account. How do we prevent FB from harvesting and keeping our email addresses without our permission, and using that information to suggest friends to us and others?

[and moved the following from other thread:]

I tried the solution you suggested in your article about how FB invades people's privacy by utilizing "skipped contacts" lists. When I clicked where you told me to, here is what the message from FB which appeared said:

"We have successfully removed all contacts you previously uploaded to Facebook."

The problem is I HAVEN'T UPLOADED ANY CONTACTS....I have a problem that OTHER PEOPLE have uploaded my email address by using the "email friend finder" tool (which I don't use) and my email address is still being use to make friend suggestions to me and others. How do I solve that problem? Thanks.
