OS Stats as well so that we have a true idea of the actual OS marketshares. |
They should give browser market stats as well as localized market stats |
Aggregated data from Google Analytics has been a long standing wish. "What types of reports does the Visitor section offer?" Languages Browsers Operating Systems Browsers and OS Screen Colors Screen Resolutions Flash Versions Java Support Connection Speeds http://www.google.com/support/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=60127 |
yeah that would help webmasters a lot, why should i test a specific browser on my website if no one of my visitor is using this browser? |
As many would suspect, google stopped reporting browser marketet stats as soon as she was determined to develope Chrome. So, google might report again as soon as Chrome has some good market performance. |
I guess that would be the next big court case by guys like alexa etc if google actually published these numbers. (I def would want them too though) |
I do not know, I do not know
|
Actually, I don't think those stats would be accurate. Firefox and Chrome ship with preinstalled Google search plugins, whereas IE does not. So I'm guessing that IE would get a lower percentage than it actually has... |
i do not think it makes any sense. Why would someone need it? I do not care how many are xy users in the whole world, i need to know how many users of my web are using xy, and the global data i need just very roughly |
Andy made a good point. It was probably due to chrome. You don't want to defame your own product. |
Timo: Google Analytics has visitors stats from all kind of browsers. The visitor don't normally know the webpages is using Google Analytics.
noname: Aggregated stats is good is when you develop web pages. It's usually first after developing the homepage you know what browser visitors use. |
re kmb: i develop hundred of pages and i do not care about worldwide agregated stats. I want to know my stats |
