"Google Inc. faces three German antitrust complaints alleging the company’s search engine services violate competition rules.
The complaints were filed by Microsoft Corp., two German publishers’ associations and Euro-Cities AG, a map service provider, Google spokesman Kay Oberbeck said in an e-mailed statement today.
The publishers complain that Google doesn’t pay for “snippets” of news items it displays on it Google News site, Oberbeck said in an interview.
