hello,

   I have many emails and almost all of them are important to me. I am using browser based gmail on my laptop.

I'd created several labels on my gmail account now I would like to move certain emails on selected labels.

for example.

total number of emails 3000

from facebook = 1500
friends = 800
others = 700

right now they all are in inbox .. when i search facebook all i can find an option is move to inbox ... why i cant move all facebook emails to facebook label ? how can i do this? thank you very much.

Create a filter:
Click "create a filter" link next to search button on the top of the page.
Specify rules (for example: "From: Facebook").
Click "Next Step"
Check "Apply to label" and choose your label.
If you want to remove them from Inbox also check "Skip the Inbox"
Check "Also apply filter to ... conversations below."
Click "Create a filter".

Done. It will apply the actions to your existing e-mails, as well as new e-mail coming in the future.

You can create a filter to move them automatically.

• Next to the Search buttons there's a link that says "Create Filter"
• in the [From] box type "*.facebookmail.com" (Without quotes)
• Click [Next Step >>]
• For the "Apply Label" option select "Facebook"
• Tick the box saying "Also apply filter to * conversations bellow"
- • You may want to select other options (Such as "Skip Inbox")
• Click [Create Filter]
• Done!

Now all Facebook messages will be labelled.
