As an aside, I believe Google may be somewhat ambivalent about having its brand name (ab)used as, effectively, a verb, and/or the euphemism for "search!" (exclamation mark a necessity). It is flattering, but, on the other hand, represents a watering down of the brand, in much the same way as once "Vespa" became synonymous with "motor scooter." Google dominates the online search now, but what if someone else does to them what they once did to Altavista and the rest..... all the while old-habit lower-case "google" retains its popular, rather than brand-specific, connection?
