Google helps stop smokers?

I keep finding out friends who quit smoking end up having a smoke during a wedding, birthday party or when going out. It's just impossible for them to fight that weakness and fall back to their smoking habits.

How can google help? They are fixing searching for content, paying for products, handling email, and working on improving high speed internet, as well as green-energy, etc.

A Google Smoke Program would be epic :) Just saying.

Anything would be better than the NHS Campaign in the UK -> http://smokefree.nhs.uk/what-suits-me/ they show images like http://smokefree.nhs.uk/images/menuPatchesGumAndMore.jpg to depict quitting smoking sorry but that just looks like drugs to me.

A campaign from the 1970s that was very successful had a black-and-white photo of an ashtray, with a big slogan "Kissing a smoker is like licking a dirty ashtray". It stopped teenagers from smoking anyway.

You'd have to think about keywords smokers use.
"Whiten yellow teeth"
"Cheap cigarettes"
"Achy Lungs"

Then display relevant advertisement.

Not sure you would have to link this to the Search Model... They have done so many things that aren't...

Too True as someone that smoked for years I totally agree it is horrible, and it isn't nice to be the friend that has to watch as your friends keep giving in to the temptations. Then display relevant advertisement.

Crikey, mbegin, you've posted a glamorous poster that won't stop many teenagers from smoking.

The ad I remember from the 1970s was a seriously grimy, disgusting, and off-putting black-and-white photo.

Here's another one I found that is also too glamorous in its colors. These brightly-colored posters are no doubt produced by advertising agencies who are more interested in receiving creative acclaim than in discouraging people from smoking.

So, how can Google help with public service announcements? :)

Drinking is only a problem for the person who has to look after me

Remember when public service announcements used to be all over AdSense sites when there was no suitable paid ad available.

Nowadays Google is much more likely to show a rubbish ad than to leaving the space unmonetised.

Any political correct kiss-ass program from Google, would be epic in stupidity.
