"A Holiday Card From Google" is a story by Katherine Rosman in the December 23, 2010 Wall Street Journal about Google's doodles.

The first doodle was in 1998 for Burning Man. Since then there have been around 900. She says that in 2010 there have been about 270 doodles. That is an average of more than five per week. Does that seem high to you?

Five artists spent 250 hours over six months on the current holiday doodle. It was issued December 23, 2010. The previous week the executives decided to change it. It is scheduled to be posted for a period of 2 1/2 days.

Selections of the many previous doodles are discussed or reprinted. It mentions an error in the original version of the DNA doodle. The story also explains some concerns about having religious symbols in doodles.
