This is a screenshot of the Chrome's built-in PDF reader. Clicking the "Yes" button opens http://get.adobe.com/reader/.
I don't know why it can't load the whole PDF, but I wonder to which Adobe products Google have with, in addition Flash (cf. http://blog.chromium.org/2010/03/bringing-improved-support-for-adobe.html). |

Two things
1> I am not seeing such alert message. (Using Chrome 10.0.648.6 dev & 10.0.649.0 canary build)
2> Chrome's built-in PDF reader is based on Foxit Reader and not on Adobe's. (http://googlesystem.blogspot.com/2010/08/google-chromes-pdf-plugin-uses-foxit.html) |
It makes sense to recommend installing Adobe Reader if the built-in PDF reader can't handle a file properly. |
