Today more than half of the news items on Google News UK are including links to Wikipedia articles. Useful, but a bit odd for a news site.

wikipedia was added a few years ago to google news

I find it interesting that Wikipedia seems to be covering the news better than Wikinews, even though Wikinews is run by the same organization and is structured to make news reporting easier.
