Google to start travel website
Google, the search engine company, is expected to confirm that it is launching an internet travel site to compete with successful portals such as Expedia and Travelocity. Speculation about a Google travel business has been rife on the internet since the company started to advertise for an account executive to run what it called a “travel vertical”. Google said that it was preparing a presentation in London today, but declined to give further details
