What's weird is that you've not also got their icon next to your name. Looks like the custom icon code could be case-sensitive whereas the PersonRank code isn't.
In fact, to test this theory I shall post this as tony ruscoe instead of Tony Ruscoe... |

It's weird but MySQL (at least on this server) ignores case, and not only when you use the LIKE operator... this can be annoying.
