I must respectfully dispute Eric Schmidt's Geek Factor score of 2. It's not very well-known, but Eric Schmidt was one of the original people who wrote lex, a famous lexical analyzer and Unix program.

Writing one of the well-known Unix utilities (awk, sed, yacc, lex) has to be worth at least 2-3 extra points. ;)
