I like the scanned hand-writing idea, the accessability thing from crawlers etc is an issue and as you point out .. who's ever gonna retype the body as text in some image title attribute or whatever. I do think the handwriting puts a "real" personal stamp on the content though, maybe itd be more useful for the odd paragraph, or the intro sentence to a longer body of typed text?
