Different Google logo!

As you can see from the picture below, the Google Code logo is actually different from the main Google logo. It's always a transparent (not alpha) file.

I think they remade it.

Hmm. Google wastes bandwidth even tho every bit ought to be important to them... I just cropped their logo (removed whitespace from the sides, without changing the logo) and saved it as PNG not GIF (same colors), and saved 1 K :)

The GIMP file thing is cool =)

Sorry, yes, I forgot to say what's different. It's the colouring on the bevel. The first Google logo has a darker bevel.

My theory is that they lost the original file and had to rebuild it from scratch!! I doubt it.

i dont understant why google cant use one google logo template and add (ie code, news, reader, etc) underneath it. it would make a it a lot simpler to have all of them to be the same size/color/design and make everything seem a bit more professional
