During the last few years Google let domainsquatters make money from pages like google.by, google.cz, google.hu. Now that they finally acquired google.hu one might think about how much profit a measure like this can generate? Is it enough to pay the attorneys?

Same thing in Czechia. Do you know any stats about share of Google and national search engines in Hungary? Because I believe that Google has so low share in Czechia because they don´t own czech domain .cz. |
The situation was slightly better in Hungary because at least you could access Google using google.co.hu
I guess that Google has relatively high market share in the Hungarian market, must be somewhere around a 80% (Yahoo!, Ask offers no Hungarian interface, MSN Search introduced it one year ago) Other considerable players are tango.hu, kurzor.hu, vizsla24.hu, but in my opinion none of them has more than 5-10%
Anyway I made a graph one year ago about this and I am planning to make a similar survey soon: http://totheweb.blogspot.com/2006/01/which-hungarian-search-engines-are.html |
Another site i know that not owned by Google inc is http://google.vc/ I think these ppl are Google big fan...:) |

Interesting, in Czechia Google has hardly 30%. |
Hm... 30% is not too much.
Is there a page where I could read more about the Czech search engine market (even if it is in Czecz)? It would be interesting, since both countries have similar population and are in similar economic conditions. Also the most promising Hungarian runner-up (tango.hu) is powered by a Czech technology (Jyxo) |
I answered you by mail (eninnen). |
