I've put together a post that looks at some of the latest features from WorldWind, a free, volunteer open source project, led by NASA that offers interactive 3D imagery of earth, the moon, and now, other planets. http://www.resourceshelf.com/2006/07/19/3d-imagery-added-to-nasa-worldwind-plus-several-new-features-including-real-time-mapping/
You can now download imagery of Mars, Venus, and Jupiter. In addition, the latest release includes some of the most popular plug-ins as part of the main download. One offers real time mapping of earthquakes while another offers global cloud cover.
Lots more.
We also talk about North Korean images (we like to one) and link to a new product (with a review) do any day named SkyLineGlobe. It looks very cool.
