My favourite Historical Google page is the one where they offer a free Google pen if you memorize their terms and conditions word for word:

From the "Notification of Account Termination for My-Deja Email Accounts" page:

> If you do not have another free email provider, you may
> wish to try one of the services listed here ... You may also
> choose to set-up your account with BigMailBox, the
> current service provider for your my-deja.com account
> and the source of many of the promotional email messages
> addressed to you there.

Is that a subtle way of saying "Try to find a better free email provider than these spammers"?

It was way back man .. I guess they were just trying to direct users to a more friendly "buyable" email provider, for future references.

hahaha

While Google has facilitated this service during the transition of the Usenet archive from Deja, offering email does not fit our focus on offering the highest-quality search results.
