I suggest you find yourself a tabbed browser.... Firefox (www.getfirefox.com) would be a good choice.

I suffer from this too. And often my task bar can't handle the number of windows open and goes into that awkward scroll mode.

I should learn that if it's too much for my task bar to handle, it's also too much for me to handle...

(BTW, ctrl-clicking in Mozilla to open new tabs doesn't help – it just means you end up wondering why you loaded a specific tab...)

I don't like tabs. I prefer to switch between windows using Alt-Tab. Also, I often find myself adjusting the window width for specific pages only. This wouldn't work in multi-tab mode.
