Google Operating System reports that it will soon in Australia and New Zealand once "Strong Internal Metrics" are met.
I guess we should expect the same in other nations.

cool.. sounds great.. thanks for the info Sohil.. :) |
Note: They didn't actually say it would be out of beta "soon" – they just said it would be out of beta once "strong internal metrics" are met.
<< "We'll take Gmail out of beta once we feel we've met these metrics," the spokesperson said. >>
Nobody mentioned when this might be. It could be 2010 for all we know! |
lol... yeah ive just read it.. too bad :/ |
But tony do you think it will take that much years to come out ?
Yo see microsoft which introduced Windows XP and now its giving out Patches......
|
I think it's just a fancy way Google has of saying we're screwing Yahoo and Microsoft.
Are they really having Internal Metric problems ? I doubt it. |
Wow, this was digged (not this site just the story)

The site that was digged is down. Google doesn't have the Cache. Coral is too slow and Wayback Machine didn't find anything. |
[Moved from "No need for Gmail invites in Australia and New Zealand" – Tony]
http://www.pcworld.idg.com.au/index.php?id=1930490443&eid=-108 claims Australian and New Zealand residents can sign up without an invite. I'm in Australia and below the login box there's a link to http://mail.google.com/mail/signup titled "Sign up for Gmail". Accessing this url via the US (via ssh using lynx ;-) just goes to the Gmail front page, which still shows "Sign up for Gmail using your mobile phone". |
