This really sucks. They deactivated my hotmail acct and deleted every damn mail i had. I am royally pissed and screwed. sign every month? WTF?

It's 2 months (I think) for Yahoo and a whopping 9 for Gmail. |
BTW, both delete your email (Gmail deletes your username too) |
Was it inactive? They do have a policy to dump accounts that are inactive, which is in the info you read when signing up.
Google does the same thing, though I think the period of inactivity is longer before they act.

For how long? I understand a large number of Hotmail accounts go inactive right away.
Perhaps 30 days is a little short, but I certainly understand MS's postion. It people are worried about saving emails, forward them to a POP3 account, another email account or print them out.
I don't save anything to the web that I don't have a backup of somewhere else if it is important to me.
