I don't like it. Previously there was more information. People that are not Google power users don't have to know how to find pages that contains this address or links to the site. I'm sure that I wouldn't know for my own that I have to add quotes.

But you have to be power users and know such things, so you don't need information that google used to display (and still displays with info: operator)

They should do a Onebox saying "click here for more information on this webpage" or a Hint: thing like they do (used to?) for clicking search instead of hitting enter |
Both ways are just as good. Most people that type amazon.com want to visit amazon.com and that's it. The new design is consistent with the rest of the SERPs. Webmasters know how to use site: or info: to find more about the site. |
