I just noticed that you can append letters, numbers, and more to the Google Blogoscoped homepage and it redirects to the same page. Such as:

http://blogoscoped.com/a
http://blogoscoped.com/1
http://blogoscoped.com/-

The letters f, m, t, v do not work.

This server has just automatic mistakes correction, for example

http://blogoscoped.com/form/ or http://blogoscoped.com/foru/ automatically redirects to http://blogoscoped.com/forum/ it's similar to "Did you mean" future in Google, but redirect is done automatically (you don't have to click).

Oh, and I forgot one more thing. When there are more then one equally possible choices server displays page with all of them, for example http://blogoscoped.com/archive/2006-09-01-n14.html

One of my webhosts, 1and1, does this too. Kinda nifty.

I wish my server wouldn't do this automatic error correction. I wonder how I can turn it off...
I'm at Schlund, I think they're basically the same infrastructure as 1and1?

Why?

For example, sometimes I won't notice that I misspelled an image file name. If I save the post in preview mode and I named the image e.g. bla.png but it's bla1.png, then my server will automatically correct this. But I prefer to see the error so I can correct it myself. At other times, you can see files on the server which (while not really private) weren't meant to be fully listed.
