Removing ads was good. It looks so much better without them. Your stripped version looks cleaner even with much left, but functionality is a little limited without blog and email links. Then again, no one should be blogging or emailing until after they've RTA, so there's an argument to be made for finding those links only after you've clicked for comments.
Maybe this will stir discussion about how Digg "should" look. There's a lot of scripters who can probably write browser hacks for their preferences... |
Friend's activity is one of the best futures there. I use home page, upcoming stories in a cloud view (you can't go there directly from the home page... grrr....) and upcoming stories dugg by my friends. You just need to add more friends, Philipp...
For example:
/pd – http://www.digg.com/users/slashpd TOMHTML – http://www.digg.com/users/TOMHTML Tony Ruscoe – http://www.digg.com/users/tonyruscoe ionut – http://www.digg.com/users/ionut haochi – http://www.digg.com/users/haochi me – http://www.digg.com/users/ludwik |
I tried to add a lot of you in the past but then I received "You have been adding friends too quickly. Please wait a while then try again." So now I added a couple of more, and now I hit the barrier again :) |
I predict an article by Philipp: 20 ways to get digged (or dugg).
Anybody wants to become friends with btw. ? I already asked once in the forum but I guess nobody likes German Poles wearing Mexican hats:

Befriend me at: http://del.icio.us/onreact.com http://reddit.com/user/onreact-com/ http://www.blinklist.com/onreact.com/
More, including Digg, to come. One of my criteria for the test and comparison will be the willingness of the existing community to socialze with you. Otherwise such services will fail as "social" bookmarks.

and hey! the big loser of a digg revolutionist : digg.com/users/rbotros |
There are ads on Digg.com? (goes and disables AdBlock to have a look) |
