how does this benefit the user? This only benefits Google and thier affiliates. That's Evil.

I disagree, I want to be able to use Google Checkout Stores and find them easily. This feature really helps. It does of course greatly benefit Google too, but there is no way this feature is Evil, not in the slightest.

Nothing wrong if Google tightly integrates its products.
