does nybody know the status on the deal? I know I could use gaim but as far as my buddies are concerened, I'm just another aim user. I want to talk to them to gtalk and i want them to know it :D

Well Skype has "opened" their platform, so it's only a matter of time. Don't know about AIM though.

Didn't the AOL/Google deal talk about "certain specifications/requirements" or something? I assumed that it would include opening AIM to Jabber, unless they set up some special system just for Google Talk. I wonder what the exact terms of the deal were?
