David, you're wrong! ;-) :-P

The images of space used in Google Earth are by NASA. Likewise, all other images / maps are by other companies. Google doesn't actually own the copyright to any of the satellite imagery it uses in its Maps and Earth services. Instead, it licenses it from other companies (AFAIK).

A friend of mine has had some luck making Google Earth videos using the non-Pro version and a screen-capture program called Fraps that game players use to record their battles.

You have to edit together bits and pieces, but he's got some not-half-bad stuff.

The most interesting thing about the ads, though is that they are geotargeted to the closest Saturn dealer to you with an ad about it (22 of them, US only), based on IP address. Read more about it here:

haven't they purchased nVIDIA's technology a year ago?(with some satellites added..?)

im not sure about the satellites, but i am sure about the technology..
