Remember, this is opening day so please be kind and remember that a glitch or two might occur.

1) Near Real Time Earthquake Maps
Near real-time earthquake info has been available at the top of Ask.com results pages for many months.
http://www.ask.com/web?q=earthquakes&qsrc=0&o=333&l=dir

What’s new today is that a click on the “Area Earthquake Activity” link brings up a map with the latest earthquake info on it. Click a location pointer and get info about the earthquake (location, time, magnitude, depth). The left side of the page has a list of all recent earthquakes, listed ten at a time by day and time.

2) Enhanced Weather Information, New Look
Ask.com offers many weather info tools. In most cases this is US and UK only but we do weather, climate, and some maps for major world cities.

New today is even more basic weather info on a results page along with a new fresher look. You’ll now find satellite imagery, radar imagery, and more.

A) Weather in Seattle http://www.ask.com/web?q=weather++seattle&qsrc=1&o=333&l=dir

B) Click the Weather in Seattle Link

Note the images (map, sat, radar)
Also, the two and seven day forecasts.

Clicking Seasonal Forecast takes you to basic climate stats for all 12
months, simply pull-down for the month you want.

Also, if there is a weather advisory etc. it wil be posted on the left side of the page in a yellow colored triangle. Here's an example (current at the time we post this).

If you enter a location and there are many locations with that name, you'll often see a pull-down to find other locations.
