Does the New MSN Search Hold Up?  (View post)

Web Gremlin [PersonRank 0]

The new MSN search has frustrated me ever since it was in the beta stage. Not only is it hard to find exact matches to search strings, many sites that used to appear for certain keywords in the old MSN are now buried on page 12, or are no longer ranked at all.

The algorithm MSN is now using to rank results is still a mystery to many web developers. There is a lot of contradicting info about how to design a web page to rank well in the new MSN. The differences in rankings between MSN and Google is amazing. The Google results make sense to me. So do Yahoo! results. Just can't figure MSN out. So, I don't rely on it

I'm sticking to Google and Yahoo!
