<<Nov. 15 (Bloomberg) – Microsoft Corp. and Google Inc. have a lot of ``overlap'' in the products they are developing and the employees they want to hire, heightening the rivalry between the two, Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates said.
``There's differences, but a lot of similarities too,'' Gates, 51, said today at an event at Stanford University, near Palo Alto, California. ``This competition is a fun one for both companies.'' >>

Nah, these days I doubt he really cares. Ever since he stepped down as CEO and is soon to be stepping down as Chairman, I think his day-to-day concern with competitors is pretty low.
In truth, these days Bill less about Microsoft, and more about the 'Bill and Melinda Gates foundation'. Which seems to make for a much more chilled out Bill, I suppose being one of the largest private benefactors in the world agrees with him :) |
Found this post when about to post another one.

Mr. Gates said on a Charlie Rose Show on November 15(that's yesterday), "Google Earth is fantastic; what they do is free and a huge benefit to all." For the full interview, please go to eWeek(in the "links" section).
