Also, there's a little arrow at the bottom right that lets you hide or re-display the visual navigation panel.

i've been waiting for this for a while. what do you think will be next to improve maps? 3D maps, that don't require a plug-in? or something better?

Web-based 3D maps might come, but somehow I think it's more Google-style to make this scale first – i.e. not just restrict it to a couple of cities or places like the competition.
