Google should start reading Wikipedia… The Prime Minister of Israel right now is Ehud Olmert, he’s in office since April 14, 2006. [according to Wikipedia]
http://google.com/search?q=who+is+the+israeli+prime+minister |
youre right Haochi.. Google is completely wrong.. Ariel Sharon is in a coma right now.. so he cant really function as a prime minister.. :P
this site is also wrong.. http://academickids.com/encyclopedia/i/is/israel.html
i think Google should stick with its old sources.. Wikipedia.. |
What do others did with this query?
Yahoo: Does not have a OneBox/Smart Answer/Direct Link However, they have the Wikipedia result as result #1 and #2. Same page slightly different URL. One url is singular (minister) the other plural (ministers). http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=who+is+the+prime+minister+of+Israel&fr=yfp-t-501&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8
Live Search from MSN Lists Ehud Olmert at the top of the page. http://search.live.com/results.aspx?q=who+is+the+prime+minister+israel&mkt=en-us&FORM=LVSP&go.x=0&go.y=0&go=Search
Ask.com Lists: President Moshe Katzav, and the Head of State is Prime Minister Ehud Olmert at the top of the page. http://www.ask.com/web?q=who+is+the+prime+minister+israel&qsrc=1&o=0&l=dir&sugreqs=9 Full disclosure, as many of you know I work for Ask.com.

From the above I would conclude that Live Search offers the best result in this case.
Ask is close – but it offers some extra information that was not asked for (and is not *strictly*) relevant.
Yahoo has got to be third, as at least it doesn't present a definitive answer that is wrong (like Google does) at the top of the page.
And then our best friend Google is last. |
on one parameter Sam..(which is not really Google's fault..)
after all Google is not just a brand name.. it also satisfied its users :) |
Live keeps on impressing me :/ |
