The company making the "real" Memory games has been known to send cease&desist letters and court orders to sites offering "Memory" games, so even if you wanted and although millions of people know the game by this name from their childhood you wouldn't be allowed to use the word "Memory" for this game. |

I know this game as being called "Matching Pairs" in the UK, although I'm not sure whether that's an official name or just something my family used to call it when I was younger.
BTW, these games are so addictive! |
