And no RSS feed. Sad as it is, I don't have time in this day and age to go to every site/blog and troll through paragraph after paragraph of information looking for those things that I really want to read. I'd spend half my day on the web. Not that I don't already... :) |
Actually, they do have RSS: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/raw_feed_index.rdf |
I heard a very strange and similar tone across entries. If I didn't know any better I'd say this was purely a political platform and that, if these folks are actually writing these entries at all, there is a team of ghostwriters standing by to "spruce them up". |
and there's no way to leave comments either. not very bloglike either. the front page of the site is different in layout to what Philip linked to: http://www.huffingtonpost.com
It's also somewhat strange that there is no "about us" page that tells me who exactly is running the site. Is it a spoof site or maybe just a fake?

I was thinking that once they see how they sound alike in topic and style (e.g., the introductory paragraph seemingly off-topic and philosophic, to then continue with a political news bit for the rest of the post*... also, about 50% of all posts mention Bush [yeah, I started to count]), they might diverge into different more original alleys.

Who's got time to read all that? Off to work... |
There is definitely some serious cash behind the site. It's being hosted at Rackspace and the domain is owned by Kenneth Lerer Associates.
Lerer used to be the Executive Vice President of AOL Time Warner, and he is also on the board of advisors for the New Democracy Project.

Thanks, Google =)
Needless to say, I won't be visiting this "Blog" again. |
