that's cool. but the actual map looks terrible compared to the better version. you don't have satellite nor hybrid views.

This has been available for a while. An easier way to get this: deactivate JavaScript.

Easier? Even with an extension like the Web Developer toolbar, I think it's easier to follow a link than it is to disable JavaScript... ;-)

Not if you use Opera: press F12, then J.

Of course it's easier to use a feature you already know than to go to a URL you may not know / forget.

The HTML version is a lot quicker to use if your using the Nintendo DS Browser (like I am now) and the movement dosn't work anyway because the stylus is used to move arround the page.

If I was Google's Map product manager, I would make Google Earth map the easiest tool for a viral use.

Maps should be easier to send, link, integrate on pages as html, embedded anything.

Just imagine the power for tourist sites and dating services.
