Just saw this Sponsored Link in Gmail in the web clips section:
<< Google Ad Network – www.Google.co.uk/OnlineBusiness – For Advertisers & Web Publishers Sign Up In A Few Simple Steps Today >>
Silly thing is that – www.Google.co.uk/OnlineBusiness – (including the uppercase characters) doesn't work since Google's servers are case-sensitive.
This URL works though:
http://www.google.co.uk/onlinebusiness/
|
Silly billys!
Cool "feature page", though. |

Is it just the UK AdWords marketing team who doesn't understand how URLs work? |
Programmer: "Here's the URL your requested." Marketer: " Hmm, I think I can improve on this... it doesn't look catchy enough yet..." |
By the way, don't they use AdWords and doesn't AdWords at least check the URL's HTTP response? |
Yeah, that sounds about right!
I'm not sure that AdWords checks the display URL's HTTP response as well as the link URL. |
