Turns out Google is probably going to turn Google video into a search index of all the videos online. http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=07/01/25/1730256 I'd expect google to start off with that-- i didn't expect that 'google video' would have been for uploading videos- but for searching for videos across the web. I like this approach-- i just wish youtube looked more googley

I hope they will do that but allow to watch videos inside of Google Video UI, which is much better that YouTube´s. But internet video is in beginning, Google should do something like Joost.

I want GVid to still allow you to upload and give an option to search only GVid and not YouTube. Is there actually a quote from Google saying they'll stop allowing uploads? I prefer GVid to YouTube, and probably wouldn't use YouTube as a GVid replacement

i wouldn't like it either. unless they made youtube more googley etc. i'm sure it's on their to-do list somewhere

There are YouTube results on GVid http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=aicha

anybody find anything from non-google sites on GVid?
