"The Google CPG Blog has announced that all the adverts that are to appear at the Superbowl will be hosted on YouTube.. The adverts will be able to be viewed, shared and rated by users. Google also said that they will be linking to the Super Bowl Wrap Up from the front page of Google.com."
The YouTube placeholder page is http://www.youtube.com/superbowl
What do you guys think of this, is it a stunt to keep the crowds using YouTube? And what about the link from the Google homepage, is this a sign that Google Video will just be a search by the time the event comes?

Looks like another way to get more people using YouTube, since they emphasize sharing and voting on commercials. The link from the homepage would serve a similar purpose...I don't think that it's enough time for a big change of any kind to Google Video. |
The ads are up now. http://www.youtube.com/img/hdr_supervote_feb07_875x139.gif http://www.youtube.com/superbowl Did anyone watch the game? I didn't – not interested. |
