I did a search on picasaweb and found that the url it returned included lh in it – anybody know what that stands for?

I belief the codename for PicasaWeb was Lighthouse. |
i think i saw the same thing with Docs&Spreadsheets..
maybe Tony can tell us a bit more about this?! |
What did you see in Docs&Spreadsheets? |
whoops sorry.. its hl.. not lh.. :P
http://docs.google.com/?hl=en
i guess its not Doc&Spreadsheets then.. but im quite sure i saw it somewhere else.. |
hl = language of the interface (it may come from "host language") You'll see it in all localized Google applications. |
yeah i know that.. i just got confused :P |
Photos are stored at http://lh*.google.com/image/username/ (Replacing * with a Number and username with your username)
I think PWA was designed to be part of a group of services called Lighthouse, but I can't find the post(s) with definate info. |
And LH2 is what Picasa Web Albums was known as before it was released – and is also its service name:
