I just reinstalled Desktop. It's indexing now. It also has a FROOGLE link on it and takes it to FROOGLE UK. I also get News for UK. How'd this happen?

You've installed a localized version for UK. Uninstall it and download the US version: http://desktop.google.com/en/

i did that. seems back to USA version. how did that happen?
