Sosou is a Google's copy like Baidu.

Now, Sosou use the the another idea from Picasa. Search images by colors.(Picasa use color:colorname as search keyword. You can download from http://dl.google.com/picasa/picasaweb-setup-beta.exe)

Let's see Sogou's example:
http://pic.sogou.com/pics?query=%CA%D6%BB%E6%C3%C0%C5%AE&mode=1&mood=1&ns=

The parameter "mood" is the key for colors.

Case mood=0 all colors
Case mood=1 grey
Case mood=2 undefined, seam darker
Case mood=3 blue
Case mood=4 green
Case mood=5 red
Case mood=6 purple
Case mood=7 yellow
Case mood=8 undefined, seam lighter
Case mood=9 can not find pics
Case mood=10 similar to 0
The left 11 to 13 same as 0. I not test more. And failed at test use "color" as parameter.

But my target is by code or name. For example, we can select the images by code "FF0000" or name "Red". This kind of search is much more useful for some industries like Fashion.

And the math model of this color seach is very simple. Per color have a position at the color map. A image have many colors, per color and per color's weight can make a weight point on the color map. The distance of these two points should be the color-rank to sort the search results.

So Sogou's work is not perfect, copy with a little innovation just a little better and can hardly get respections. Sogou's only join "Google image search" and "Picasa" together.

I wish Google can perfect Picasa and Google Images Search in-phase.

Interesting feature. Why doesn't Google have Labs stuff like this?

Why doesn't Google have new (public) Labs projects anymore? They only have new features for existing projects.

Maybe because Google Picasa already this function, Maybe Google is research this to be more better. Search for not more than 10 colors can not be a search. We need 256*256*256 colors. For example: #56e12a, ect.

I want full image comparison, actually. Let me upload a blue picture when I want a blue pic, or let me upload a vase when I want to see more vases. I know some tools like this exist already, but none is really with a huge scope & extra-fast. Or give me a small Flash-thingie to sketch something on and then see pics just like it...

Right things usually simple than the wrong thing. I believe Sogou using a complex but wrong math model.

1.Sogou is not the math model that using distance on the color maps. Images near grey and should be in the grey. But Sogou infact list some in the lighter background. Grey is not a point, it is a oblong(long square) like a line. The color between and white are grey. Very light grey is white, very dark grey is black. And some other colors mixed a little that hardly can be seen is also grey.

2.For light and fresh color search, show make the area range around the point smaller. The yellow color result brings more wrong images cause yellow can be easily dirty.
