yeah I just downloaded it. Called Gran Paradiso, no fox in logo. Not much different except that Google Toolbar doesn't work in it!!!Or greasemonkey.

You can get it at: http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/granparadiso/alpha3/win32/en-US/ if running Windows. Download the .exe only.

Are you kidding?!

Firefox 3 will bring two MASSIVE new features to the browsing market.

Cairo: a clever graphics rendering engine that can stretch fixed layout sites to the full screen resolution (much better than IE/Opera "zoom")

Adobe Apollo-like on/offline functionality... being able to run web apps from a local machine. Introduces possibilities of perhaps offline GCal syncing etc...

too scary to put an Alpha on my sole PC.

No way I'm installing an Alpha version of Firefox on my Desktop PC, Beta's OK though :-) and I can't get it on my laptop because it doesn't support Win 98 :-(

so its fair to say... that for deep alpha's and beta products , early adopters prefer a more stable product release for test usage ??

BETA is now acceptable-use for most techys as everything G makes is still in Beta for the most part- but I wouldn't trust an Alpha of anything.
