I think they might have used the "SEO" designation out of habit, but note that to get to the page you need to go through a SELECT form field, which is not possible for search bots. Thus it's just a paid advertising article focused on human readers so far, though admittedly the selection of topics is highly spamvertised today.

They've been around for a long, long time.

They used to rank for all of the major keywords until someone posted it at Threadwatch.org and *poof*, they disappeared.

Disappeared from what? Google SERPs?

Without inbound links their PR should not have been that high.
